Catcher in the Rye

Catcher in the Rye, I have heard of this book before, but I never really knew what it was about. In the book the 2 chapters that we have read so far it seems like it will turn out to be a good book. I kind of get confused by all this random thoughts sometimes, but then after I think about it I know what is going on. My opinion of Holden so far is that he reminds me of people that like to be pitied. I think he could be a smart teenager if he applied himself and maybe then he wouldn't be flunking four of his classes. I think that he could also be a nice person if he changes the way he thinks about some things or to apply himself so he will have a future in school and in his life. Then again there are a lot of people even people are our school that don't apply themselves when they really could be good students.
